Is it possible to know God cares for you?
You can know God cares for you because He reveals it in His words and in His love.
This should be a short article because that is an extremely comforting revelation.
But even when we believe and trust God, life brings unwelcome surprises; trials, heartache, and suffering make us doubt that God cares and loves us.
Peace is found knowing God cares and His presence comforts, guides, and encourages.
“All-Powerful Lord, great blessings belong to those who trust in you!”
Psalm 84:12 ERV
We believe God cares and our trust is strong when things are smooth and during mountaintop experiences.
These extraordinary moments are wonderful reminders of God’s faithfulness and form scrapbooks of cherished memories. unfortunately, that is not where we spend most of our days.
There are days when fear, doubt, and uncertainty threaten our trust in God’s love.
On tough days when we feel alone or defeated, we do not have to hide our disappointment, disillusionment, or confusion. We serve a mighty God who is stronger and more reliable than our emotions, circumstances, and deepest insecurities.
In long seasons when you feel forgotten it is also possible to know God cares for you. We can rest in His love because Jesus is our comforter during the darkest struggles where faith is tested.
Experiencing His presence draws us closer to God, especially during difficult circumstances that extend for long periods
We have a choice whether to embrace despair or turn to our Great Hope, Jesus.
If you are searching and want to know if God cares for you, ask Him. Be ready for a life-changing journey leading to the knowledge that God cares and loves you…extravagantly.
You will grow confident in your identity in Christ and form a deep abiding relationship with the One who formed you, knows you, and cares infinitely about your life.
“The true self finds identity in being totally loved by God in the ordinariness of life. The true self is grateful for spiritual highs without craving them and…without making too much of them when they occur.”

God Cares about the Little Things
Knowing God cares for you is possible and assurance is found in spiritual growth and remembering stories of Jesus’ faithfulness.
It may not always be a big miracle that reveals how much God cares for you. God cares about the little things that happen in your life.
Validation that God cares for you comes during the ordinary of life and time spent in His presence.
When I was a little girl, my family loved to eat at a neighborhood café that served yummy miniature hamburgers.
After one of our visits, the bill arrived and my mom began searching for money to pay. I noticed she was becoming a little frantic.
She did not have enough money to cover the cost of our lunch.
We waited as my mom and the waiter had a quiet conversation. Then we walked out of the restaurant.
My mom told us that a stranger noticed our dilemma and graciously paid our bill.
Was that an example that God cares about the little things? A coincidence? Just a spontaneous encounter with a nice person?
It could be any of the above. But stories like this have dotted the timeline of my life.
Can you recall times in your life that revealed God cares for you? Remember times God has blessed you…an answered call for help or revealing Himself in worship.
These confirmations strengthen your faith.
Knowing God cares for you solidifies as you draw a line through your journey and connect dots that demonstrate how important Christ’s presence has been in your life.
When God reveals His faithfulness through answered prayer, encouragement, and His presence, it demonstrates how much God cares for you: God cares about the little things and the big things.
“Lord, you are so good to me, so kind in every way and ready to forgive, for your grace-fountain keeps overflowing, drenching all your devoted lovers who pray to you.”
Psalm 86:5 TPT
Does God Care
There are numerous benefits to reading and studying the Bible; the living word of God transforms how you think, love, and live.
The Bible changes how you see yourself and how you relate to others.
One of the benefits of reading the Bible is learning how much God cares for you through its characters and stories.
How to Know God Cares for You: 4 Bible Stories
Sarah and Abraham Learned God Cares
God had made a covenant with Abraham that he would be the father of many descendants. But as he and Sarah grew older their faith in God’s promise faltered.
They took matters into their own hands by having Abraham father a child with Hagar. Despite their betrayal of trust and failure to wait, God revealed He cared for Sarah and Abraham.
God fulfilled His promise and they had a son, Isaac.
“The Lord came back to visit Sarah as he said he would, and he kept his promise to her. At exactly the time God said it would happen, Sarah became pregnant and gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age.”
Genesis 21:1-2 ERV
Moses Learned God Cares
The story of Moses is fascinating and takes many twists and turns.
By the time God appeared to Moses in the burning bush and issued the call for Moses to save the Israelites from slavery, He had already revealed how much He cared for Moses.
But Moses was afraid of his ability to lead and to speak up. God cares so much that He offered Aaron as a helper for Moses so he could fulfill his mission.
“Moses answered, “No, Lord, please send someone else.” At this, the Lord became angry with Moses and said, “What about your brother Aaron, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. IHeis now coming to meet you and will be glad to see you.”
Exodus 4:13-14 GNT
Job Learned God Cares
The story of Job, a righteous man who lost everything, can be hard to read and understand.
There is no explanation as to why Job had to suffer.
We learn through Job’s story that God was with him throughout his trials and that Job ultimately believed God cares.
“You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit.”
Job 10:12 NIV
The Disciples Learned God Cares
After walking beside Jesus, the disciples were devastated and fearful when He was crucified. Jesus tried to prepare them for His sacrificial mission.
As the disciples gathered and grieved, Jesus appeared to them bringing peace and outlining their new mission.
“It was late that Sunday evening and the disciples were gathered together behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish authorities. Then Jesus came and stood among them.
“Peace be with you,” he said. After saying this, Jesus showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were filled with joy at seeing the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, so I send you.”
Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive people’s sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
John 20:19-23 GNT
Does God Care About Me?
You may be wondering, how do I apply the knowledge from the bible to my life? How do I grow in confidence that God cares about me?
My spiritual walk has brought indescribable joy, peace, and confidence strengthening my belief that God cares about me.
Talking to Jesus through ongoing prayer, He reveals Himself, and the Holy Spirit guides me out of valley moments.
Does God care if you get a good parking spot? Does God care if your child succeeds? Does God care if your team wins the Super Bowl? I guess we will have to wait to find out.
God cares more about the condition of our hearts and our ability to bear fruit and draw others to him than our current circumstances.
When fear, grief, confusion, people, or discouragement begin to suffocate your spirit, you can doubt that God cares for you.
But that is when it is most important to worship and pray for His Spirit to fall fresh on you. That is when you will grow in the conviction of how much God cares for you…all the time not just during the good times.
Jesus never forgets you and is waiting for your cries and He will surround you with His presence and reveal how much God cares for you.

God Cares for You
My prayer is that through these stories and scriptures, you are persuaded to believe that God cares for you.
I heard a story of a farmer who watched in dismay as birds hit his glass window and fell to their untimely death.
He whispered, “If only I could become one of the birds and show them the way to avoid pain and death”.
What a symbolic story for Christ-followers. Jesus became man, one of us, to show us the way to live on earth and lead us to eternal life.
The greatest demonstration that God cares for you is Jesus living and dying so we can have eternal life.
“God loved the people in the world so much that He gave His one and only Son on their behalf.”
John 3:16 Easy
We all wrestle with doubt but can find confidence and hope through it. Ask God to reveal His love for you if you struggle with doubt.
-Jesus’ first recorded statement to his disciples after His resurrection is, “Peace be with you” which he repeats three times. That says something about the importance of peace.
-Jesus shows God cares for you and wants peace to be with you and to reign in your life.
“Define yourself radically as one beloved by God. God’s love for you and His choice of you constitute your worth.
Accept that and let it become the most important thing in your life.”
Do you know God cares for you? I sure hope so!
